International flights enter into Augusto C. Sandino Airport in Managua. From there, shuttle or charter flights can be taken to smaller airports in the rest of the country.

Cars or Buses to and from Nicaragua
For lovers of mass transit and sustainable tourism, taking a bus to get between Nicaragua and Costa Rica or Honduras, is always a popular option. It is an opportunity to get to know some of the country and experience some of the local flavor.
Driving a car is a great way to be an independent traveler. There some additional fees and a bit of extra hassle, but don't be put off. Driving into Nicaragua is a manageable feat.
One of the more interesting ways of getting between Costa Rica or El Salvador and Nicaragua is by taking one of several different boat and ferry services.
Nicaragua Trains
There are no current rail connections between Nicaragua and the neighboring countries. However, there are plans to build a railroad through the length of Central America. That said, like many infrastructure program, this transportation option does not seem to be coming any time soon.
