Parque Maritimo is a small tourist center at Playa El Coco that organizes nature trips such as daily boat rides to the Costa Rican boarder to see nesting sea birds or jaunts to a nearby wildlife refuge, where turtles lay their eggs. The center offers horseback rides and bicycle rentals as well as Frisbees, volleyballs, footballs, surfboards and boogie boards. At Parque Maritimo, you can also find a restaurant and a hotel. Reservations for the hotel can be made either through the center's website or by phone.
