The Surf Shack

A no-frills, no bathrooms, (outhouses only) surfer’s compound known more commonly as the chicken shack, which is steps away from the most popular surf beach. Pitch a tent for $2 per person or beds are available for $5. The place fills up with backpackers and surfers, but try your luck with finding a room. Two small restaurants here sell breakfast and light meals, breakfast cost $3, hamburgers $2.50, and a beer $1.25.
