Misleadingly, Playa Remanso was formerly referred to as “Playa Sucio,” despite its beauty and cleanliness. Later, it was re-named Playa Remanso. The beach is about 3 miles south of San Juan del Sur and lined with white sand and tide pools. For surfing, the breaks are relatively mild, making this is the perfect beach for beginners.
