Altragracia Beaches
The most popular beach near Altagracia is called Punta Taguizapa, and it's located just to the east of the city. If you head north towards the ferry about 2 kilometers out of town you'll pass a billboard with a large and conspicuous Canadian flag. After saluting proudly, follow the little path down to Playa San Miguel. It's not as picturesque as some of the other swimming spots on the island, but we guarantee you'll have this brown-sand beach to yourself.
