From Rivas, it costs about $50 to take a taxi to Las Salinas or to your hotel in the Popoyo area. Times vary throughout the year depending on the condition of the road, but the trip is usually 45 minutes to one hour. Additionally, buses depart from Rivas and Las Salinas throughout the day. Buses leave from Rivas at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:45 p.m. 2:40 p.m. and 4 p.m., and the journey takes one and a half to two hours. Buses turn around and head back to Rivas after arriving at the last stop in Las Salinas.
