INTUR (8 a.m. - 1 p.m., Tel: 505-2563 4914) has a tourist information office 100 meters west of the Texaco gas station, which itself is located on the main highway. There are a few banks (with ATMs) in town, mostly concentrated around the Central Park. The majority of restaurants take credit cards, but it is still advisable to withdraw money when you have the chance. Laundry services are hard to track down within Rivas, so make sure to check with your hotel or hostel if your clothes are getting a little funky. There are several clinics and pharmacies around the city that are open to foreigners and a hospital located on La Carretera Gaspar García la Vlana (open 24 hours). The main grocery store, called Pali, is located 2 blocks east of Central Park. The Texaco gas station is also open 24 hours and has a well-stocked convenience store.
