Hiking in San Juan del Sur
The main hiking option in San Juan del Sur is the trail on La Questa Hill. Either rent a car, or take a taxi to the northeast side of town, past the Texaco and about 6 km up the road, until it ends. From there, the hiking trail begins. It takes about three and a half hours total. Some people choose to hire a guide; others go solo. Make sure to bring a lot of water, snacks, and a poncho during rainy season.
