This 250-year-old fort was built by the Spanish. It was later used as a torture and interrogation center during the Somoza dictatorship. The fort was rebuilt in the 1990's, and now houses a small museum and art gallery. You can also climb up the fort's turrets for a nice view over the city. Admission by donation, open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
