School Xpress

Location
Calle Libertad, 1/2 block east of Parque Central

This Language School teaches:
Spanish

By Mike Karanicolas

Although the name hardly suggests professionalism, School Xpress offers an interesting and challenging curriculum for students including an option of vocation-based activities (if you're interested in medicine, you can visit a local hospital). The price for 20 hours of private classes is the standard $150, but they also offer a special of $50 for 10 hours, provided that these classes are undertaken in the afternoon when teachers are least busy. Group discounts are possible, but you'll have to find your own classmates. Most teachers speak some English but immersion is the general policy.

Learn Spanish in Granada, Nicaragua

Rating: 100%

The staff members at the School Xpress are wonderful. I was worried about the intensive one-on-one classes, but my professor was patient and very helpful. The 4 hours a day passed by very quickly. There was always something to learn, in and outside of the classroom. The activities in the afternoon were great learning opportunities. Although, I only stayed for a week, I enjoyed every minute of it.
