V!VA User‘s Description
This is not a must, but is another decent half-day side-trip. It is not as beautiful as Granada but it offers two markets, the Mercardo Municipal by the bus stop and the Mercado Viejo, next to the town park in an impressive castle-like building, where you can buy artesania goodies, if they take your fancy. There is also a nice malecon, if you carry on from the central park away from the bus stop, with views over Lake Masaya and out to the volcano. Take Bus 9 from Granada for Cordobas/US$.50.
