This eight hour challenge is a toughie, no doubt about it, but the experience of the trek makes it well worth it. A two-hour uphill trudge at the start is tiring but then the cloud forest takes over and forces you to climb like a monkey through the trees, a unique and fun experience. You then descend down into a picturesque, if not spectacular crater lake, where you can swim before returning on the same route.
