Internet cafés are sprinkled liberally throughout the city. There are a couple of excellent ones on Avenida Antiguo Teatro Gonzales, 3 ½ blocks north of Parque Central. There are also a couple on the park itself.
There's an Intur office on Ave el Progreso, half a block south of the Mercado de Artesanias. Staff are predictably apathetic government workers, but they do know their stuff.
The main police station is located on Ave el Progreso, one block north of the Mercado de Artesanias.
