Set in a picturesque horseshoe bay on the Pacific coast, San Juan del Sur is an easy hop from Granada or Managua and provides an excellent and economic beach escape from travels inland. A strip of hotels along the beachfront road provide cheap accommodation and excellent views.
This is also an convenient spot to visit the Refugio de Vida Silvestre La Flor where sea turtles come to lay their eggs from August to November.
