This pleasant two-and-a-half hour stroll begins and ends at the yellow suspension bridge in town, running along the road (although don't let that put you off). Head left after crossing the bridge and the road leads along the river until a right turn leads up to El Explorador. Follow the dirt road up and into the hills and you will reach the cafe where you can take a 20min walk around a garden hiking trail ($2). Carry on and the route leads between coffee plantations offering sweeping views of the town and Volcan Baru, Panama's only volcano, before winding down through farming areas with more views and back to the city.
