This plaza is part of a monument honoring France's contributions to the construction of the Panama Canal. There's often a delightful breeze blowing through, and from the end of the walkway you can see boats queued up to enter the canal. The plaza is frequented by vendors, as well as indigenous stalls selling native handicrafts. The walkway, constructed over Panama's old city wall, is one of the city's best photo-ops.
