Also known as the Smithsonian Marine Exhibition Center, Punta Culebra explores Panama's geological, military and natural history. In addition to military relics, the center offers tropical forest hikes and a pool that's home to turtles and sharks. It's a bit out of the way, but definitely worth a visit. Located near the Calzada de Amador, about 15 minutes drive from Panama City center, a taxi should cost $2-4. Visiting hours fluctuate based on the time of year, check their website for details.
