Panama City's raging nightlife will not disappoint club-loving travleres. The center of the action is Calle Uruguay in the Bella Vista district. It's a stylish neighborhood, and guys might be turned away if they're wearing shorts, sandals or hats. Male revelers should also be aware that the clubs in this area are frequented by a large number of Colombian prostitutes. If she seems too good to be true, she probably is.
Clubbing in Panama City is not a cheap proposition – most clubs charge entrance fees of up to $20, and you can expect to pay around $5 for each cocktail. If you're looking for something easier on the ears (and the wallet) there are also plenty of neighborhood bars where you can grab a cheap beer.
