Gorgeous beaches are one of Bocas del Toro's main attractions. Isla Colon has several nice ones, including Drago Beach on the far side of the island. Our vote for the area's best goes to Wizard Beach, a picture-perfect stretch of golden sand located just across the bay. Water taxis will know it, and take you there for around $3 per person each way depending on the group size and your negotiating skills. If you're really going budget, there's a beach just outside of town called Playa el Istmito. Overlooking the charmingly named Sand Fly Bay, this isn't the cleanest, safest, or most pleasant beach. But it's within walking distance.
