This impressive place is newly built and very smart. Probably the best bang-for-your-buck in town it offers stylish clean rooms with private bathrooms at excellent prices, and while it lacks that hostel feel it more than makes up
for it with the smart first floor sofa terrace and the bay-level decking. One of the tallest places in town, it is easy to spot after a late night in the bars thanks to its neon sign (but don't let that put you off!)

My wife made reservations and paid the rooms for our honeymoon a month ahead. Showed up and the "bright" staff girl had the nerve to tell us that we never called to "confirm" the reservation so they didn't have a room(hellooo! was already paid off). Told us to wait 5 minutes that turned into 45 min. Meantime, this dumb looking guy came down (we found later was the owner) smoking a cigarrete and didn't even said a word to us. They got us the room for that night. Came back two days later as it was part of our previous reservation schedule (remember everything was paid off) and this time we were told it was full as well of the rest of hotels at Bocas. Luckily, Dos Palmas next door had a room available. Needless to say, I felt like throwing all their restaurant tables off board. The other "bright" staff girl asked my wife to use "her" cellphone since she ran out of minutes when checking for vacancy in other hotels. Almost had to call the coast guard to get a hold of the waitress on breakfast since she deliberately ignores everyone. It's a shame because it's a great place, with nice rooms, one of the best breakfast on the island and decent room prices. But the management is plain down rotten. So if you decided to stay, don't ever say you were never warned.
I fully agree with the earlier review - very off-putting to have the owners sitting around all day talking money and bragging. The only good service is from the hard-working Bocas staff, but the atmosphere is a bit oppressive - the staff look and act unhappy. There is a decent breakfast for under $5 but irregular service. For half the price ($28-30) try the more modest Dos Palmas two doors away. The Caribbean 'Mamma' who runs it with a firm hand is a joy.
$50 is too much for what you get. The hotel is located in a rundown, unsafe area and the Israeli owner's poor attitude was a spoiler. My parents are Israeli - I understand Hebrew and the owners calling me and my friends stupid Americans didn’t feel nice. I could hear them badmouthing almost all the guests that were not Israelis. The restaurant is a beautiful spot over the water but you can’t really enjoy it when the owners are sitting there all day, loudly bragging about making money off their Israeli guests. Whenever we asked for anything they gave us a look that said "Stop bothering me!" I give Olas a big no and quite frankly don’t understand the big fuss.
Very clean, breakfast is included and good, healthy and filling. There is a friendly staff and the bar and patio over the sea is open all day. We have stayed here about 12 times so far.
