V!VA User‘s Description

This group of Caribbean islands north of Panama City is home to one of the most independent and politically organized indigenous communities in Central America, the Kuna. Best reached by a short flight from Panama City, there are substantial opportunities for interacting with this hospitable indigenous community as you explore the Caribbean beaches and coral reefs. The Kuna are most famous for their molas, cloth appliqué with unique geometric and pictorial designs usually worn on blouses, but can also be purchased as wall hangings. Water sports like snorkeling, diving, fishing are also popular on these islands.
