Hold on to your hunger. Watch the lights change from red to green. The sun has begun to set and your heart is pumping to the rhythm of the U-bahn trains whizzing above you. Visit a friend's house party or create your own. Call it an "Apperetif" party. Sounds like a good way to start the night. Chat the night away with a fun few whilst trying to master the art of rolling a cigarette (amongst other things). As the clock hits 12, swallow down the last bit of wine and head towards either the Warshauer Strasse station (Revaler Strasse) or Schlesischer Tor station and find the most packed Doner Kebab shop. The massive crowd is there not for an insatiable craving for a kebab, but because of an appetite to party. Often hidden in the back or down the basement, you'll find the hippest music and wackiest people dancing and drinking. And no, they arent eating a kebab whilst doing so. The Doner shop by Schlesser Tor has a nice garden with black and white images flashing to the beat of the music. When the party begins to wind down at around 4 or 5, head off to Bar 25 and work off the alcohol (and maybe kebabs if you gave in to temptation) on the swing overlooking the River Spree. Dance to the rising sun in one of the rickety looking cabins or watch it with strangers as you sit on the wooden steps.
