With only four rooms, this hostel on a quiet side street near Plaza Nueva gives a new meaning to the word “homey.” A converted, well-maintained space with traditional Andalusian décor, entering Venecia is more like an arrival at one’s grandparents’ home than check-in at a hostel. The charming proprietors who live onsite add to the cozy atmosphere and are always ready to offer a smile and a cup of tea. With the Alhambra just up the hill, they gladly help you reserve tickets to that stunning landmark or to Flamenco shows in the nearby caves.
