Get Involved

Participate in V!VA Travel Guides!

There are many ways to get involved with V!VA. Here are just a few:

First, you can create an account, and add your profile. That way, everything you write while logged in is credited to you.

Learn to travel write and get published!

Attend one of V!VA's boot camps in 2009. You'll learn from the experts how to write guidebooks, get practical experience and if you're good, get paid  freelance assignments after the course.

Write reviews and rate your favorites

Did you love a place? Will you never return to another? Every destination on our website has space for ratings and reviews. Share your experiences, help out other travelers, and let the world know what you think. You can add new places, or rate and review existing ones. To get these credited to you, you will need to create an account.

Submit your best photos – they could end up on a guidebook cover

We’re always on the lookout for photo submissions that make great guidebook cover shots. Currently we’re conducting photo contests for the covers of our Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Mexico guidebooks. Send us your photos for these, to: editors(at)remove-this.vivatravelguides.com, or check out our photo competition page.

Freelance writing opportunities

For budding or talented writers, you have opportunities to write about Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Mexico! If you’re traveling to, live in, or are interested to hear more about the opportunities that we have in these countries, please send your resume and a short writing sample, or query to: write@vivatravelguides.com.
