i had the chance to live on the isle of Oahu. The city is named Waikiki, but the formdoesnt have it on file since it would not let me contue.I served in the military and was stationed there for two 1/2 years. one night my friend was depressed since his woman had cheated on him. I had two concertickets to SKid Row's concert. When i heard about my friend's plight, i told him i would help out. I turned around and sold my tickets and off we went to let him vent and ever get a little drunk. We headed for a little out of the way place in a city of Waikiki. It is called Hernando's Hideaway. I took my buddy there and you have to go down a narrow alley back between massive hotels. THen you see a small shack like building with grass ont eh roof. I took him to the back where tvs, foosball, even a basketball hoop. It was raining that night, but with the tall boboa trees cover the open air bar nicely. We started drinking and chatting with others. I was mainly beating people in foosball. Then a guy with long hair came up for a challange with hsi buddy. I called my friend over to help me out. With jimmy buffet playing on the speakers i thought he the blond was familiar. I ask if his name was Sebastian and he asked if i wanted his autograph, and i told him no, which caught him off guard. To me celberities do not deserve such adolation, they are doing a job. do you ask your garbage collector for his autograph? ANyways i told him why and he liked that i wasnt hounding him for one. i also told him that i sold his tickets for my buddy and he thought i was a good person. then i beat him three games to none. If you go there, then tell them spider says hi.

Other helpful information: get there early in the mroning for great sales and haggling. watch for the ebb tide and undertos while swimming. many people have lost their lives from those currents, dont swim against current but to the side. the more you know the locals lang, the more fun you will have. Respect the locals and thier customs and they will treat you like family.

Must see/do at this place: Diamond head has lava tunnels and great hiking that has aview that will take your breath away, that and the climb. For guys, hit the waikiki beach international side. for the ladies the boutiques are great shopping. for young ones, there are many attractions down in the downtown area.

Turlte bay hilton's beach. To the left of the hotel is small tidal pools that you can lounge in for days.

You should avoid here: keep your valuables in your room if your going to the beach. Too nmany people are ripped off that way. for single men, watch out for some women, they are fake and some will steal yoru wallet before you even realize its a man. Women keep your purse at the hotel and cash in yoru top. also there are small islands near oahu, they look like you can swim to one, but many a person has died that way. Also watch were you walk in the shallows, reef sharks and tingers. i was almsot eaten by one. swim in the areas you see locals.
