Argentina is a great place to do some fishing. Patagonia is well-known as a top fly-fishing destination, with skilled guides taking visitors out after lunker trout and salmon in the cold rivers of the windswept region. The Iberá Marsh, located to the north of Buenos Aires in the Corrientes region, is home to Golden Dorado, a freshwater monster that is a little bit like a largemouth bass, only bigger and meaner. There is no shortage of guides and specialty lodges willing to take you fishing. In the south, Chubut province is full of lakes, teeming with trout. Neuquén province also features many lakes, and anglers head there for trout and land-locked salmon.
