Cachi : Fiesta De La Tradición Calchaquí, Carnaval, Pachamama

Cachi, Festivals, Traditional festivities

Cachi, situated in the Andean Northwest of Argentina, hosts several important festivals and traditional festivities throughout the year.

Each January the most talented Argentinan artists and floklorists set up several cultural, artisanal and gastronomical activities in the city.
The month after (February), Cachi hosts its annual Carnaval.
In the Quechua tradition Pachamama, or Mother Earth, is celebrated every 1st of August. On that date, Cachi pays tribute to Pachamama through cultural and musical demonstrations.
