There are several airlines that offer flights from Buenos Aires to other Argentinean cities, the two most used are Areolineas Argentinas and Lan Argentina. Even in low season, make sure to book your flights in advance, which for domestic destinations can go from $125 to $350 each way.
If you are traveling a considerable distance, like from Buenos Aires to Tierra del Fuego, prepare yourself for a four-and-a-half hour flight. To destinations in the north, however, distances are shorter. From Buenos Aires to Mendoza, Iguazú or Tucumán it takes about an hour and forty-five minutes. Few cities have direct flights between each other, so you might want to arrange for ground transportation between nearby destinations before heading back to the domestic airport in the capital, Aeroparque Jorge Newbery.
There is one major exception to flights going through Buenos Aires: Patagonia. The cities of Trelew, el Calafate, Bariloche and Ushuaia do have direct flights in between each other.
