Parting from Buenos Aires, the great majority of cities in Argentina have established and reliable taxi services, though this is a considerably more expensive option compared to buses.
RADIOTAXIS
Radiotaxis come in every shape and size, and the tariffs are settled upon time and distance it takes to get to the destination. To be on the safe side, call a cab from well-known companies – Pídalo Radiotaxi is among the most trusted – and pay close attention to the conditions of the vehicle if you are out looking for a taxi on the street. Several drivers will be willing to take you considerable distances to other cities, however the rates are not particularly comfortable.
REMISES (PRIVATE CARS)
An alternative is to hire a remis, which is a private car and driver that will take you around in a similar way to a hired tourist guide and will charge around $20 an hour. This alternative is a good way to get a private tour without having to rent a car and worry about directions.
