Large and long, with varying altitudes, Argentina is home to extreme climates.
In subtropical northern Argentina, temperatures can reach 118º F/48º C, with rain year-long. The north is best visited during the winter months of May to September, when it is not too hot or rainy.
Temperatures in sub-arctic southern Argentina can drop to 3º F/-16º C, and the area is best visited during the summer months of December to February.
As expected, central generally Argentina has a temperate climate.
