The fastest, easiest and most popular way to make phone calls throughout Argentina is to use a call center, called a locutorio. An attendant will usher you to a private booth where you can make a call charged by the minute. There are different area codes that need to be punched that are determined by whether the number is a local landline or cellular phone, so do not be afraid to ask for help. A quick call should only cost a few pesos, but be sure to check the rate before use.
