Senior Travelers

Generally, senior citizens are treated with respect and consideration by Argentinians. Museums, theaters, hotels, and restaurants often offer discounts for those over 60. Usually showing a passport with your date of birth will suffice.

Most health providers do not cover travel, so seniors should check with their provider before traveling, and buy special travel insurance if necessary.

Check out these travel agencies and organizations that cater specifically to the senior population: Elderhostel (www.elderhostel.org) and ElderTreks (www.eldertreks.com). Also try www.travel50andbeyond.com for more travel resources and discounts.
