Telephones/Calling Cards
Travelers should have few problems making calls to home. The telephone system in Argentina was privatized in the 1990s, which vastly improved the quality of service. Be sure to check with your phone provider to clarify whether or not a cellular phone from home will function abroad in Argentina – and be prepared to pay extra for incoming or outgoing cell calls.
