Given at least five names prior to its current denomination in honor of a former president of the Provincias Unidad del Río de la Plata, this beautiful spread of nature in the middle of the Historic Center is surrounded by important government structures in a true Spanish fashion yet designed with a French cut. This plaza has changed its functionality throughout the years, starting off as an animal stable, a private garden with iron gates and finally an open plaza. In the middle you will find a 17 meter-high stone and bronze monument of Rivadavia erected by Luis Carlos Rovatti in 1946.
