Inaugurated in 1913, the Teatro Muncipal is one of the most impressive architectural structures in Bahía Blanca and the biggest congregating center of culture in the city. With a capacity of 850 and several rehearsal rooms, this theater was a sensation from the beginning when maestro Antonio Marranti presented Aide de Guisseppe Verdi a month after the theater opened its doors to the public. Located on Alsina street, Teatro Municipal is surrounded by wide, open spaces from which it can be appreciated.
