Climate & Geography

By Lorena Fernández

The last time it snowed in Bahía Blanca was May of 2007. It’s not a common occurrence for the city, however winter months – June to August – can be spent in sub-freezing temperatures. For the rest of the year, however, the weather is warm and summers can be particularly hot. The rainy season goes from September to November and for a month in March. The foundation of the city is celebrated on April 11, for which this can be a good month to catch some special cultural events.
