Named for a Luján-born artist who displayed works worldwide, Luján's museum of art showcases the works of local, regional, and national artists in Argentina as part of the project of creating a national identity. The impressive collection of modern art varies in style and subject, but is consistently worth viewing. Just across the plaza from the Complejo Museogràfico Enrique Udaondo (Museum Complex), Bellas Artes makes a great addition to the colonial and gaucho history to be found within the colonial buildings of the complex.
