Tourism Office
At the time of writing (January 2008) the original tourist office was closed due to renovations in the plaza, but the endearing people in the Municipal Tourism Office are happy to help out. Their office, though tricky to find, is worth a visit for the building itself. On the other side of the park behind the Museum Complex is a large tower and smaller building. Inside that building, the office is to the left, but don’t forget to look up first to catch a glimpse of the gorgeous frescoed ceiling.
Keeping in Touch, Money, and Services
Old school travelers can find a collection of postcards, mostly depicting the Basilica, at the various Santerias - shops selling religious knickknacks - throughout Luján. If they aren't displayed, just ask for postales. For those more tech-savvy, you'll find locutorios with internet and phones along the main drag, Calle San Martín. Most hotels are equipped with internet as well, either wireless or the free use of a computer. San Martín also has a number of banks, ATMs and laundry services.
