Museo de Caracoles (Museum of Shells) is a more fitting name. The collection of shells from all over the world, including fines examples of the Nautilus, is the most impressive part of the museum. There are several large aquariums with local fish species on the bottom two-levels arranged to demonstrate the types of fish that are encountered at the respective sea levels. Unless cold water Atlantic bottom feeders and their upstairs neighbors are your thing, the display is not the impressive. A random interactive science exhibit sneaks its way on to the second floor to keep the kids engaged. There is also a playground on the roof before the observation deck, which has an excellent view of the Museo Municipal de Arte.
