Playa Chica and Playa Grande
South of the Casino and center of town is Playa Chica, unique in the area because it is the only part of the coast with cliffs instead of a sandy beach. There are staircases that descend from the street level promenade to access the rocky coast below for curious tide poolers or amateur anglers. Further to the South is Playa Grande, a crescent shaped beach area popular with both surfers and holidays makers. It tends to be crowded and is full of chairs for hire.
