South of town beyond the Port area lays the longest stretch of uninterrupted beach within close proximity of the city. This area is spotted with several family-oriented private beach clubs that charge for chair rental and access to the playgrounds and other beach-centric activities, mostly geared toward children. There are several public access points and the beach is by no means private, but expect it to be full of pick-up football matches and games of tag during the busier summer periods and semana santa. The beaches further South, near the lighthouse are less crowded.
