Albergue Bruno Valente (Mitre and Nuestras Malvinas, Tel. # 02254 482908; Dorm: $17 at peak season, membership cards will save you $3 a night but must be bought during off season) is the only true hostel in town. Located just a few hundred feet from the beach and about eight blocks from downtown, the building was built in 1926 and shows its age. By far the cheapest place to stay outside of camping, the hostel has bare rooms packed with up to twelve beds, utilitarian bathrooms and a big communal kitchen. It draws a good crowd and reservations are almost always necessary in the summer.
