To catch the action, head to Pinamar for a weekend during the Argentine summer between November and Febuary. The days can be very hot on the beach so bring plenty of sunscreen to avoid looking like fifty percent of the foreigners and Argentines alike who come off the beach the first day like beaten tomatoes, red and flustered. Nights can be chilly though and the wind is almost always a factor so bring a sweater for nighttime excursions.
If the crowds and nightlife are not what you’re after, midweek is a bit mellower but still bustling in the summer. Off-season will find Pinamar practically deserted with limited accommodation and services. However, prices will be a fraction of the high season standard.
