A reservoir behind Parque Independencia, Lago del Fuerte is so much more than just a large body of water. A restaurant, children’s park, and walking paths mean visitors of all ages can make a day out of exploring. But the real peach in the pie is Balneario del Sol, a complex of public pools complete with umbrellas and chairs, “beach” volleyball, and a couple of food stands. Balenaria del Sol is Tandil’s solution to the heat: when you can’t get out of the sun, get into the water instead.
