It would be an understatement to say that Tandil is proud of its regional cuisine. Restaurants and shops selling local cheeses, meats, and other artisanal treats abound. But business owners in Tandil understand that one can't live on cheese alone, so the town is sufficiently stocked with cafes, parillas, and other specialty restaurants. In short, food in Tandil suits all cravings and budgets, and does not disappoint.

Tandil also has a few good bars ready to quench the thirst of adventurers after a busy day of climbing the various Sierras. The handful around the intersection of Avenida Española and Rodriguez are the safest bet for a steady and pleasant crowd of beer drinkers, and dancing often ensues as the madrugada (early morning) approaches.
