Microcentro is BA’s bustling Downtown. Previously known as the San Nicolás district and named after a church, the neighborhood now houses the city’s financial district and is the home of many banks, offices and government institutions. While not as pretty as some of the other barrios, this is a fairly convenient location as it is not far from the shopping district and there are numerous travel agencies that can help you plan your onward trip. Hotels abound too.
