Once is located in the Balvanera barrio along with Congreso and Abasto. It inhabits the zone around Avenida Corrientes.
A traditionally Jewish neighborhood, Once has lost some of the businesses, synagogues and cafes as the neighborhood has become more diverse. Today the barrio is the city's garment district, where colorful fabrics are made, traded and sold everyday of the week.
