City Park

V!VA User‘s Description

Founded in 1898, the botanical garden's lush canopy provides examples of trees and plants from all over the world. Despite the groan of nearby avenues, a long, slow afternoon stroll through the garden can make the city disappear. Scattered amongst the impressive array of trees are a number of sculptures and feral cats abound. The old estancia buildings within the garden are now used as the city parks' department headquarters. There is also a gardening school and a museum; ask inside the park about guided moonlight tours.
