Serving beef grown on its own grazing grounds in the Pampas of Argentina, Cabana Las Lilas offers what many consider the best steaks in town. In the meat-crazed culture of Argentina, that’s saying something. Patrons are dressed from casual on up, but expect to pay for a meal here. The price just to sit down and enjoy the mandatory cubierto (a selection of dried meats, cheeses, pickled vegetables and fresh-baked bread) will run around $7 per person. If money is not an issue, the extremely tender medallon de lomo ($23) is out of this world. Sides cost extra, ranging from $5 for roasted vegetables to $7 for mashed potatoes. The restaurant’s wine list is extensive, though cheaper offerings are in short supply.
