Set in an impeccably renovated French-style mansion, simply seeing the building is worth the trip to Milion. A marble staircase leads to two floors and numerous rooms with high ceilings, moody lighting, and a rotating collection of esoteric paintings; the décor is topped off by digital images projected on the walls. A bit disorganized-tables are scattered about, large groups grow larger, and servers often seem confused-service can be slow, but the pause provides a chance to take in the atmosphere. If you're in a hurry, you can elbow in amongst the hipsters holding up the bar and order directly from the friendly bar staff. Cocktail options are endless and many take advantage of the posh setting to sip on a martini and imagine they are living in a different time. Good tapas are also available.

Beautiful place, but a bit too posh for your average backpacker. (Amidst the gorgeous architecture and gorgeous people, you won´t fit in unless you are dressed to impress.)
